SATs
This course is designed to equip children with the essential English and mathematics skills necessary for their SATs examinations, which are scheduled for May of Year 6.
The topic of SATs often generates debate among educators and parents alike. However, we firmly believe that with the right preparation, SATs can play a pivotal role in enhancing a child's knowledge and boosting their confidence. This preparation not only ensures they are well-equipped for their SATs but also lays a strong foundation for a successful transition into secondary education.
The course will be conducted annually from September to May.
English: The curriculum encompasses comprehension, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary, with a focus on achieving a deeper understanding of these areas. Our goal is for students to exceed national standards by the time they take the examination.
Mathematics: The course covers all aspects of the National Curriculum, presented at an advanced level. This approach aims to ensure that students surpass national expectations by the time they sit for their examination.
